AB 418 (California Food Safety Act) signed into law.

AB 418 (California Food Safety Act, was signed into law October 7, 2023 and will commence beginning January 1, 2027.

The bill prohibits a person or organization from “manufacturing, selling, delivering, distributing, holding or offering for sale in commerce, a food product for human consumption that contains any specified substance, including, among other, brominated vegetable oil, potassium bromate, red dye 3, and propylparaben.
