Throughout her life, Tinka was dedicated to helping women empower themselves. Younger women, many of whom she mentored in the business world, were especially important to her. Tinka would be extremely proud to support research initiated and controlled by breast cancer survivors which offers hope for prevention to future generations of women.
Initial funding for Breast Cancer Over Time originated from a $280,000 donation in Tinka’s honor.
For over 20 years, Liz worked with dedication and compassion to provide affordable and permanent supportive housing for very low-income and homeless people.
Liz was a co-founder of Breast Cancer Over Time in 2015 and served as Board Secretary up to her passing on July 16, 2022.
Liz was diagnosed with a soft tissue sarcoma in 1998, with breast cancer in 2011, and with metastatic breast cancer in 2021. She knew firsthand the importance of having an opportunity to participate in cancer support networks. As a cancer survivor and mother of twins, she was dedicated to our mission of preventing breast cancer in future generations.
She remains a continuing inspiration for our work.
